Surah al-Hujurat, 49: 14

Firman Allah s.w.t:

"Orang-orang Arab Badwi itu berkata: "Kami telah beriman". Katakanlah (kepada mereka); "Kamu belum beriman", tetapi katakanlah: "Kami telah Islam", kerana iman itu belum masuk ke dalam hati kamu. Dan jika kamu taat kepada Allah dan Rasul-Nya, Dia tidak akan mengurangi sedikitpun (kebaikan)amalanmu. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang." (Surah al-Hujurat, 49: 14)

Maintaining Our Values As Allah's Best Creation

MAINTAINING OUR VALUES AS GOD’S BEST CREATION

There are a number of us who have forgotten or ignorant thet we are the best of God’s creation. This is clarified by Allah the Almighty in Sura’ At Tin verse 4:

‘ It is clarified that we (Allah) has created man as the best creation (in shape and values)’

Anyway, Allah The Almighty could change man’s highest value to the lowest and the worst level. This is stated in the same Sura verse 5 :

‘ Then we could exploited (the highest value ) to the lowest (the worst and the most humilated)’

Thus, we should preserve our best self value in the best manner as faithful believers who perform sincere deeds. Allah the Almightys has stated clearly in verse 6 in the same Sura’
‘With the exceptions of faithful beleivers who perform sincere deeds (their faith would not be changed from good to bad).

The ultimate questions that need to be understood here are:

1.What is the real meaning of faithful beleivers?
2.What are the effort needed to get the faith?
3.How would we know that faith is really assembled in ourselves?
4.What are the importance of having faith?

So it is our own effort to keep our heart at the best level so that faith could be anchored in it. Some of the suggested efforts are :

a. we need to be very sincere in all our work and actions, be it in management or communication
b. discard the tight fist attitude in ourselves in our richness, strength, knowledge or attitude
c. never to be boastful, arrogant and selfish

If we are always sincere and generous without being arrogant and selfish, by God’s Will, the light of faith would be granted by Allah the Almighty in our heart.

If faith has been implemented in our heart, we would be aware of its presence from some evidences visualised by Allah the Almighty as stated in Sura Al Anfal verse 2:

Meaning:
‘It is verified that the real faithful believers are those, when mentioned the word `Allah’, their heart trembled, and when the verses of God are read to them, their faith increases and they surrendered and rely fully to Allah the Almighty’

These evidences of faith are internal conception, only the person concerned and Allah the Almighty would know.

Having faith is very important to a man. With faith in oneself, it could hinder a person from doing bad deeds such as stealing, drinking, womanising and all those various restrictions and forbidden deeds outlined by Allah the Almighty.

Those faithful believers would be granted with good return by Allah’s side on all their good deeds.

As for those non faithful believers, they would not be granted any good returns from Allah the Almighty even if they did non stop praying and reciting. This is confirmed in Allah the Almighty’s promise in Sura Al Nur verse 39:

‘And those non believers, their good deeds are just like `fatormogana’ in a hot day, which is wrongly interpreted by a thirsty man as a pool of water, but when he approached it, he found there was nothing there. This is what happen to the non believers and Allah the Almighty would fulfill His promises on what they had done’

To sum up, it is our own responsibility to multiply our effort to be the real faithful believers. It is up to us to keeep and guard and fertilize our faith so as to make it flourish in ourselves. Do not do or response to activities that would spoil our faith. Keep our best relationship with the God and to those faithful believers. Be thankful to Allah the Almighty for giving us the faith. Beware that, our faith could be unearthed from ourselves. Once it is unearthed, it would not be implanted. Alaways be aware in our daily activities so as not to spoil our faith. Do things for the sake of religion first and not for our own satisfactions.
